Finding our first coffee and breakfast spot during our visit to Bath, we came across WatchHouse after seeing it recommended online as a must-try destination for those looking for really good coffee. Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed by a staff member who invited us to take a table upstairs. She explained that we could either scan a QR code to order or come back downstairs when we were ready, as long as we remembered our table number. We visited this coffee shop to have two oat flat whites and sit down for a while. The location is lovely and the setting itself is very nice, which made the experience even more disappointing. When the waitress arrived, she had already spilled milk on the wooden tray and didn’t even apologize. The flat whites were served in extremely small cups, even for a flat white, the amount was noticeably limited and felt well below what would normally be expected.To make matters worse, the table was unstable and tilted, so the already small amount of coffee ended up spilling out, making a mess. Nice little coffee shop with friendly service. The almond croissant was way too sweet for me (too much sweet buffer filling) and coffee was average (a bit burned). After Italy and France, it's hard to get any good coffee 😳? The shop looks amazing and modern, nice place to sit down and have a break!
