I visited Soofi Persian Restaurant in Birmingham and tried this amazing dish for the first time—absolutely blown away. I had what I believe is a traditional Persian lamb shank (Baghali Polo ba Mahicheh) served with dill and saffron rice, and it was incredible. The lamb was fall-off-the-bone tender, cooked in a rich, flavourful sauce, and paired perfectly with the fragrant rice. The koobideh kebab on the side was also juicy and well-seasoned, with that lovely smoky char from the grill. I had a great experience at this restaurant. The chelo kebab was absolutely delicious and full of authentic Persian flavor. The chicken kebab was very juicy and perfectly cooked. The kashk-e bademjan was also amazing, with a rich and homemade taste. The staff were very friendly and professional, and the service was quick and excellent. The atmosphere was cozy, clean, and relaxing. I will definitely come back and highly recommend this place 🌿

Highly recommended authentic Persian spot in Birmingham (plus it has parking)! For ​Starter we had the Bademjan (creamy aubergine dip) served with warm bread. It was mouth-watering. For ​Mains we had a huge mixed platter of chicken and lamb kebabs (Koobideh, Joojeh, and wings) with generous portio of saffron rice. ​Everything was freshly prepared, incredibly tasty, and authentic. Will definitely be back!
