This is a restaurant worth coming. As it is in the Marriott Highcliff, my expectations were not high, when they said they had to wake the chef is the kitchen was still open, I thought, another place where they call a cook “chef”. Well, I was wrong, it is a chef. The food presentation confirms that right away, it was very good, very well done and presented, of course, delicious too, como and visit this place, it is small, but it worth it. The management and servers are all fantastic and very attentive, I was treated really well here.

Disappointing food. The French onion soup i had was overly stuffed with bread topping, my wife's was far better proportions, however neither had the classic glossy dark appearance. Both we murky and too gray, perhaps due to using chicken stock rather than the traditional beef. My wife also had the cheese soufflé which was reasonable, and I had the beef bourguignon. The bourguignon was very disappointing, lacked richness and depth of flavour and had one mini steak sized piece of meat rather than traditional stew style, it was dry and didn't taste like it had been cooked in the sauce. Nice place at Bournemouth Marriott hotel. Food was tasty but the service is very inconsistent: I ordered wine which only arrived after I had finished my starter, although I was asked "would you like a drink to start with". Then I ordered the beef which was a big portion, so I asked for some extra gravy - apparently the kitchen didn't "allow it" although even Michelin-starred restaurants would do it without even charging for it. Expect good quality, tasty gastro-pub style food but nothing more than that. Service needs serious reconsideration as it doesn't do justice to the Marriott brand.

We celebrated our guns 90th Birthday meal here. What a splendid lunch. Excellent service, delicious meals in a lively environment overlooking the sea. Thank you to all the wonderful staff who made it so special for our mother.
