Traditional pub in a characterful old building, with a wide choice of drinks and a good value menu. Very busy before a gig nearby but there was still enough space inside to find a corner. We dropped in for a quick bite before the show. Bar and kitchen service was quick despite the crowd. Food arrived hot in under 20 minutes, which felt fair given the pre-gig rush. My self and my husband booked a table for last night. We arrived to find someone had taken out reserved table but the young lady soon found us a new one and couldn’t apologise enough. I ordered our food and it only took about 15 minutes to arrive which was good as it was quite busy. The food was lovely, very good portions as well. The staff here are so nice and friendly. We do come here often and it’s always nice. I would definitely recommend here for a bite to eat.
