We visited on Father’s Day early afternoon. The restaurant was only around half full, but it appeared to be significantly understaffed, which was surprising given such a busy occasion. Unfortunately, the service was extremely slow throughout our visit. Our drinks arrived after our food, and only after we asked about them again. We also had to get our own cutlery. Visited two days in a row and throughly enjoyed both visits. Once as a group of 5 with a baby and once as a group of 2. The staff were very friendly. You have to order at the bar and have to pay at the bar before you leave, they do not offer this service at the table. The location is lovely, it is by the river and during warmer months it is nice to sit outside. The staff offer blankets if you are cold which was lovely and have outdoor heaters attached to the venue. I would highly recommend a visit. Rip-off and unfriendly service. I had been visiting this place for years since it opened and go back every now and then when visiting. This is my first bad experience and I won’t return. I asked for an iced green tea - literally, a bit of ice with green tea in it. He charged me £4! £4 for a bit of ice and tea bag. The man who served me was unfriendly and cold. I’d always been served with a smile by staff but not this time. When he laid my eggs royale down, he didn’t say a word - just practically dropped it and left. The food was sub-par. And £4 for a bit of ice and tea bag is just disgracef

Thank you for a perfect morning/lunch time stopI. Our group of eleven cyclists enjoyed the location, the service and we warmed up nicely. The food was very tasty, my freshly made aloo was amazing and the staff were attentive and friendly. We will be back 🤗
