We came here twice during our stay in Bristol, due to the Cafe being close to our hotel. It's a great pleace to grab something quick to eat, or a dessert or coffee. Both times we came for breakfast. The first time we dined in we had the Abbots Leigh Halloumi Sandwich and the Smoked Tofu Sandwich. Each sourdough toasted Sandwhich was very tasty. Good flavors and a pretty good sourdough bread. I am a regular customer on my way to work. I normally go for Swedish Oat Ball and Granola. Today, I was wondering around and wanted to try coffee. I had Banana Bread and Mocha decaf. As always, good quality food and nice atmosphere. It was unexpectedly quiet, maybe because it is Saturday and about to close. If you want options to select your food then I would recommend to go early than 1 pm. Some items sold out quickly and there is no refill. 😋

No Gluten Free options despite Ceoliac UK rating on website. We were informed the seasonal menu had since changed and they only worked by buffet and cannot limit cross contamination. We were also made to feel impertinent for asking the simple question. Incredibly disappointed, we ordered coffees but rather wish we hadn't in hind sight.

The Australian server has a bad attitude. We persisted with the order and wish we didn't. The coffee was horrible and we couldn't drink ours (both ice and normal). Also the sandwich had a very grainy texture and the leek had a weird taste, maybe it was going off). The photo shows how much we didn't eat. On leaving I tried to give feedback that the food tasted bad etc (not for a refund which I don't need) but was giving more attitude from the same women asking how a cheese and leak sandwich could taste bad, haha! I told her to try it...
