I’ve tried to give this place multiple chances, I only ordered some chips to see they were already prepared in baskets ready to be put in the fryer, I had to wait assuming they would be fresh, I get them home and half of the portion are black and not edible! Very poor wasn’t busy and I definitely won’t try again, considering the prices on the menu in this place, you would think it would be half decent. But to get such a simple food product so wrong, it’s concerns me what else is going on.

I went for chips in a tray and kids nugget meal yesterday, the chips were gorgeous very fresh and the nuggets were crispy. Portion size was good for the price. Service from staff was very warm and welcoming. I will definitely go back :)

Over many years this has been a vibrant and good chip shop. We have noticed a decline in recent years and after being served the worst ever chips tonight we will not be going back. Chips were exceptionally greasy and half of them were black. Basically not fit for human consumption and they had the nerve to sell them. Had to return to the shop to complain and get my money back. Never again.

Bought two fish and chips on Saturday which cost nearly £20 and were so awful they went in the bin. The fish and chips were greasy and the fish had a horrible taste and a strange soft pinky texture. Not sure if it was due to the fish not being the usual cod / haddock or because of how it was cooked. The chips weren’t much better and some were a bit black. Worst I have ever had! Never again. I don’t usually write reviews but we were so disappointed. Surely it is not that hard to get right!
