I was on a long journey down from the Peak District and fancied a place to stop for lunch. By chance, I stumbled across the Bridge Inn on Google Maps and set a course for there. The staff were very friendly and welcoming and had me seated and watered in no time at all. I chose to eat off the set menu today; mozzarella sticks to start. These were accompanied by a delicious dip and served as the perfect start to my meal. If I’m nitpicking, I personally would have preferred them to be slightly warmer, nevertheless they were still enjoyable as is. For mains, I decided today would be the day I tr

My husband and I live only about a 20 minute drive from the Bridge Inn. I have to admit we haven't visited for some time. This evening we decided to have a take-out and decided to use the Bridge and boy are we glad we did. The food was fabulous. We'd forgotten how good they were. If you've never been, or like us, have simply let them fall off your radar then I urge you to go back. Additionally they are in an idealic spot by the canal Perfect for sunny days and evenings or after a bracing walk. We will be back soon

Visited here on a Friday evening with no reservation, but a table was available in the outside marquee. Food was great, the mussels starter was excellent. Service was ok and the outside marquee is a great extension to the pub, but the temperature swings from hot to cold as the heater comes on and off. Parking fulls up quick, but there is plenty of road parking. Certainly worth a visit.
