This place is a gem- Don’t let the exterior fool you. From the moment you walk in, Carlos uncle makes you feel so welcome. He’s incredibly friendly, humble, and genuinely kind. The food is amazing. I’ve tried the tea, burger, doner, wings, chicken shish wraps, and baklava almost everything on the menu and can say — everything tasted fantastic. You can really tell it’s made with care and skill. Five stars for value for money - for £55 four of us ate and were full. The food was great for the price, and I will be eating there again. The wrap (£8.50) was superb , especially when you consider how much a meal at other fast food places. The chilli sauce is spicy and the salad tastes fresh. There was loads of chicken in the wrap too. Careful, it looks like Carlos will give you lots of extra food. He’s too generous!

The food here is good. Really good. Home cooked and makes you feel like you’re back in Istanbul kind of good. I saw the reviews and figured I’d come in for a quick kebab. I ended up getting a plate piled high with my kofte, plus a giant portion of chicken (that the owner said I _had_ to try), home cooked rice, salad and fresh potato cut chips. And a nice glass of Turkish Tea. It was so good I almost ended up in a food coma halfway through. A few days ago, after a long day, I stopped by Carlos Kebab on Mill Road, one of those places that make Mill Road feel like a proper neighbourhood. Carlos runs the place with charm, energy, and genuine warmth, and he’s been there for more years than I’ve been around. He convinced me to try his mint tea, which, even in a heatwave and despite being hot, was incredibly refreshing. Listen to his recommendations: for me, the mixed kebab was spot on: very well prepared, generous, and full of flavour. And don’t leave without trying the yoghurt drink as well.
