This is easily one of the best pubs I’ve been to! The atmosphere here is lovely. It’s chilled, it’s so relaxed and the vibe is just great. In the back where we sat, there was space for my son to venture into the woods a little, and we could still see him and join him to keep him occupied before the food arrived. All of the staff were friendly and it didn’t feel like they were offering a service, it was just natural to them. The food though - it was insane and I can’t fault it! Booked for 8 and we were first placed in the corner of the pub on a 4 person table with a different sized table added and a heater as backrest for some. Asked to move to the nicer outside area and was told there is unlikely to be space but will check, we were able to but only if we left by a certain time. Food was good, awkwardly small plate for roast though. The two-star service was for the waitress serving food and drinks. Paid £70 deposit over the phone and then they forgot to take it off the bill, and when they finally came back, we paid £50 cash and they still put the full amount on card

Great find! Our first time at The Spotted Cow and we will definitely be back! Everyone was really friendly, and the food was excellent. Would recommend for both a meal out or just as a really nice place to go for a drink or two(We sat in the conservatory for lunch - great Sunday roast!)
