I usually order takeaway from GDK Croydon and the experience has been consistently good. The food is always fresh, hot, and full of flavor. The doner is really tasty and the portion size is satisfying. Packaging is neat and everything arrives in good condition. I don’t usually interact much with staff, but overall the service seems efficient. Definitely a reliable spot for takeaway!

Unfortunately today's experience at GDK was truly disgusting and disappointing. I ordered on deliveroo expecting the great quality I've received in past online other with different platforms but instead I received food with the following issues: - Stale and overcooked Hash browns that stuck together and was hard to chew. We also ordered 20 total but only received half. - We also ordered a kebab and the bread tasted like it was stale!!! It tasted hard and chewy as it was left out for days. I visited German Doner Kebab and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience. There were far too many orders for the number of staff available — only about four people working — and the kitchen clearly could not cope. The queue kept growing, and when I asked about our order, I was told it would take at least 25 minutes, which is excessive for fast food. The overall organisation seemed poor, and there was visible confusion at the counter. I used this place some considerable time ago. The prices seemed very reasonable but that was because the portions were relatively small. I didn’t like the wooden spoons, something a lot of fast food outlets use nowadays, however, the meal was enjoyable but far from the best kebab I have ever had.
