We visited mid week for a birthday Carvery roast dinner and wasn't disappointed. There's a few meats to choose from and we had a couple of each which was carved by an assistant, the rest is buffet style so you can help yourself. There's lots of choice. One of our party is coeliac and she was advised that she could have everything except the pigs in blankets and the Yorkshire pudding. Even the gravy was gluten free. Win win. Absolutely gorgeous food, we went for dinner & then breakfast the next day. Good price £12.95 for a carvery Mon to Sat. You actually get decent slices of meat, look at how thick my gammon slice was & that wasn’t even the “large” upgrade. Breakfast was lovely, nice to have fried eggs unlike most places that don’t bother, the coffee was independent & not from Costa / Starbucks, as someone who loves coffee I was more than impressed, no sweetener / sugar needed as the blend of coffee bean was amazing. We was staying in the Travelodge opposite so this is really handy to have next door.

Lunchtime carvery in a convivial atmosphere , cosy surroundings and great food. Second visit today , had large carvery for £18 , very nice beef was tender and honey coated carrots 🥕 were good. Lunchtime mid week was very quiet . Beer a bit pricey at £5.50 for lager , friendly staff .
