We didn’t have a booking but they managed to get us a space suitable for 2 adults a child and buggy. Highly recommend pop in for a Roast with Rob the chef.

I was a bit cynical about the plethora of new reviews saying it was great. I was very wrong. Its definitely much much better than before and the reviews were right Masimo ( spelling?) behind the bar was very friendly offering a taste of the cask beers and chatting about stuff They have three real log fires which were wonderfully warm and somewhat 'magnetic' at this time of year, but as there were three there was space

In the past one could bring bikes through the gate, so perhaps that will be reinstated in the future, or the front area with no table on the street could have a nice place to lock up bikes safely. Deffo recommend.
