Had a takeaway tonight and it'll be the last. Food was very substandard. Ribs very fatty chicken dry and tasteless. Coconut rice was dry and grey. Onions in the chowmein were almost raw. Real shame as this used to be an excellent takeaway.

Portion sizes are ridiculously small. Easily half the size of any other Chinese take away. I honestly couldn’t believe it when I got our meals out. Spent £32 on a take away for 2 and I was considering ordering something else after it. Usually we have to leave most of our take aways. It’s good if you are on a diet and don’t want to eat much. Certainly won’t over eat with this place. I’m not sure if they’re styling themselves on a tapas restaurant

Taiyuan is a little bit out of my way but worh going the extra distance for the difference in quality. Everything we have ordered has always been delicious. I go for the service as much as the excellent food. There's a lady working there who is always so lovely and friendly that I genuinely look forward to going to collect my meal as I know she will brighten my day. I've never caught her name but she was working when I went in tonight (5th March 2026) at 7:45pm

Taiyuan is the best place in Falkirk. Not just for the amazing food, but for the beautiful people who run it. I’ve been a regular for years, and they were so kind to me while I was going through cancer treatment. They always remember my order and are so patient with my children’s sensory needs (Autism/ADHD). They treat us like family, always giving us extra fortune cookies and making us feel welcome. If you want a brilliant meal from a family business that actually cares, go here! 5 Stars is not enough."
