Just had impromptu visit to the Barista Lounge with my work colleagues for a birthday drink. The service was impeccable, we were greeted by a lovely warm smile too. There's a lovely atmosphere throughout and upstairs cosy dining. Really lovely feel to the coffee shop. It was inadvertently mentioned that it was my birthday and after we receive our drinks, the owner came back to the table with a beautiful piece of coffee & walnut cake with a candle - on the house ! Such a lovely gesture and made my day. Will definitely be back at the weekend to sample the food menu. Thank you !

The staff were lovely and service was good. I ordered a cheese toastie and tuna melt, for £8 it was very disappointing. The bread was cheap white sliced and the cheese was flavourless. The tuna melt was the same, not so much a melt, more just hot tuna in bland mayonnaise possibly ? The hot drinks and cakes were really nice. As a fan of cheese toastie’s this was really disappointing
