Disappointing trip to Van Winkle. We tried to book into firehouse but it was fully booked, so googled more bbq restaurants and this came up. Reviews were good so thought we would try it out. It’s not a BBQ so don’t be fooled. We were the only ones in on a Saturday night so that tells a story. The staff were so friendly and the place looks great inside.. even the kitchen staff were really nice. 10/10 for service and smiles. Loved this place! We are here after our afternoon in Glasgow. We had the steak pie and it was delicious! It was a yummy roast beef in a gravy sauce with a puff pastry topper, then some peas and carrots on the side. The place itself is really cute, and they had even cuter bathrooms lol. The bar wall is end to end different bottles of whiskey and bourbon, so great if you're into that. They also make other drinks and have some beers on tap. If I ever came back to Glasgow I would eat here again!

Chose van winkle for my wife’s birthday as it came up as what looked like a good alternative to try from our usual choice. As my wife, 2 kids and I walked in we were immediately buzzing because it’s the exact sort of place we like, the whole aesthetic was great.
