Highly recommend RIVA, which is now under new stewardship. Spoke at length to Adam, the new head chef, and he has real pedigree working in some of the Michelin restaurants we’ve eaten at. Don’t be deceived by past (or even recent) reviews. It now offers the best value for money quality cooking in the Hale/Altrincham area. The RIVA Board (2 sharing) can easily be shared between 3 if not 4. The crispy lamb belly and the mackerel were excellent. What a great place. This was our second stop on a night out and we actually went back later as we all liked it so much. The staff were so friendly and welcoming they really enhanced our night out. The cocktails were delicious and I'd love to go another time to try the food.
