Very poor service, with young server unable to understand the order, coffee not made with the food, and very slow. The location is great. They should consider replacing the serving staff with some who care. Or explain to them some basic customer care skills.

Spurriers House Café is in a great location next to Pets’ Corner and Harlow Town Park, making it a convenient stop during family visits. However, service is usually very slow, not only on busy days. There is often a long wait for orders, which can be difficult when visiting with children. Improvements in waiting times would really make the experience much better. The setting itself is lovely, but the slow service is something to be aware of before visiting.

My friends and I used to come here every Saturday for Breakfast it was really great, staff are lovely. But then the menu changed, prices went up. The choice for vegetarians used to be really good. Omelettes, jacket potatoes, porridge and so on. The menu is now very poor and limited. I ordered a sandwich recently which was supposed to come with salad very disappointing, no salad and the bread was dry. If I'm paying a high price I expect good quality food like the advertised pictures on the wall. Please bring back the old menu.

The service was slow and lacked basic politeness. Staff came across as quite blunt and unbothered, which is surprising in such a calm, family-friendly environment. It felt like there was no care or kindness at all — a bit more empathy would really improve things. Now, the pricing… I was genuinely shocked to be charged £5 for the kids’ meal shown in the photo — two fish fingers and a handful of chips in a takeaway box. That’s incredibly poor value. To make things worse, a single scoop of ice cream was £4. Seriously? That’s overpriced by any standard, especially in a park café where families exp
