Went for Sunday lunch after reading reviews and was not disappointed. Had the pork belly which was incredible, cames with an enormous Yorkshire pudding, glad they didn't insist they were only for with beef! Massive jug of gravy that was so delicious, you just wanted a spoon to drink it with afterwards! Staff were friendly, it is quite loud in there but not too much. A good place to go with friends.

We had a very enjoyable staff Christmas dinner at The Bookshop last month; it was absolutely the best restaurant we could have chosen. We all had a turkey roast dinner which was delightful. The portion sizes were very generous, making it great value for money. The turkey was flavourful and not dry at all, and the accompaniments were delicious. We chose different desserts, but everyone was happy with their choice and enjoyed their meal throughly. I, personally, had the clementine cheesecake which was lovely. The Sunday lunch here is probably the best I’ve tasted anywhere in the world! We’ve been twice in the last few months (we live elsewhere) and both times it was outstanding! The staff are all great, got hipster vibes, something I’m not, but I won’t hold that against them…lol An absolute must visit
