Fairly standard Wetherspoons with usual menu selection. Limited outside seating area at back. Service was punctual and courteous, food was hot and tasty. Pretty much to Wetherspoon normal standards - you know what you'll get will be golf good quality and reasonable price. Pub is conveniently located on bus routes to Bury, Bolton and Rochdale so easily reached by public transport.

There's only one reason that a pub is always busy. They get everything right! Spoons in Heywood, does just that. Great beers, wines etc. Decent grub. Brilliant staff and always a buzzing atmosphere. Also just about as wallet friendly as it gets. Cheers Edwin 🍻

I queried the price of the breakfast with a new member of staff serving me, who was being mentored or inducted by a senior staff. I asked because the price had just gone up overnight slightly and I usually like to give them the correct change. The question was answered but after i sat down, the senior member of staff started demonising me to the new member, even though i was right there. Sometimes you need to realise people are just asking a question and not being confrontational.
