What a fabulous place! The lunchtime food is superb, particularly the salads. The staff are very friendly and exceptionally helpful, going out of their way, even on a very busy Saturday lunchtime, to find us a table where our noise-sensitive dog could settle. The cafe itself has a rustic charm too. Truly exceptional , and one of the best cafes we've been to (& there have been quite a few over the years!)

Chilli B is one of those places that never disappoints. The food is always fresh, generously portioned, and full of flavour — especially the sandwiches, which are easily some of the best around. My wife and I have been coming here almost every week since we moved to Hitchin a little over four years ago. It’s our favourite place. The sandwiches are great, the service is great, the music is great, we always look forward to it. Kudos to the entire team, but especially Alex who always makes us feel very welcome. My go-to sandwich is the Italian Job in focaccia with chicken added as extra. Deserts are refreshed regularly but I recommend that you don’t miss the apple strudel and pistachio cream cookie if you find either.

Delighted to hear that Chilli B’s is now open Sundays, so took my bestie for breakfast. The American pancake stack with crispy bacon and warm blueberry compote didn’t disappoint. No better way to enjoy a lazy weekend. Good friends, great food in a fab cafe with super staff. 10/10 😋
