My wife found George's whilst looking for somewhere open to eat a late lunch. Found it to her quiet with one other couple eating. We went into the restaurant side and was greeted with a warm welcome and immediately taken to a table. The restaurant area was very clean and clearly maintained to a high standard. The toilets were the same, clean and well maintained. I found the menu to be quite small with limited options. Wasn't an issue as I wanted fish and chips. My wife ordered the Scampi and for myself, the Cod and chips. We both ordered mushy peas and tartar sauce. Our food was delivered quic

The quality, value for money, and service were excellent. It's one of the best fish and chip places in the East Midlands. The fish is fresh and delicious. I highly recommend this place!

This is the third and final time visiting this awful chip shop! £7.55 for a cremated fish in batter that represents concrete. Even the sharpest knife struggled to cut through the batter. Hardly no fish inside. Much better chip shops in ilkeston than this one
