Located right across from Leeds train station, came for a quick drink. Definitely changed for the better. Even though they've kept alot of the original decor it now does have a modern chain pub feel to the place, which isn't bad, just smarter. Food available but we didn't stay to eat. Good choice of beers at reasonable prices. Service was friendly and welcoming.

With all the building work going on outside we never really thought about going in here. A big mistake. A big open pub that still has a large flagstone floor as you walk in. The pub stretches down both sides with plenty of seating available. It was very busy and most clients were enjoying the great food theyboffer. Great welcome from the staff, quick to serve with a welcoming smile. Plenty of offers on food and drink, lots of info on whats going on even the dateline of the licencees of the establishment proudly on view. Great Nicholsons pub. Very clean and well maintained, bar staff were friendly and efficient. Great location directly opposite the station. Didn’t have food this time however the surrounding tables plates looked really good!

We always come here for some food and excellently kept cask beers when we visit Leeds. So much so that during this visit we came here for both night's food and drink. We have nothing bad to say about this pub, the food served or the helpfulness of the staff. Well worthy of 5 stars
