We had the best night ever ! We hired out the basement for a surprise bday party and from the very get go of me emailing for it, to the very end of the evening it was amazing I would recommend it to anyone needing a good venue in the city centre. choose your own music have it as loud as you like, drinks great! and can make your own menu for their classic cocktail names 2 for £15 until 9pm every day and if you’re upstairs you can get free nachos and salsa with any drink bought until 9pm too, upstairs vibe was also great everyone having a good time. have previously enjoyed my time here but, would appreciate if the bar man (bearded man with tattoos) used his words instead of gripping and grabbing the arms of people half his height to yank them out the way. also worth noting that when I confronted him (because my sister was very upset) and told him that he can’t just grip peoples arms, he said: “yeah I can”. If staff is in a hurry in a crowded environment, it’s still not appropriate to harshly yank and grip arms of smaller female presenting customers.

Verve is hit and miss. It's not terrible, not fantastic, but definitely better than other dive bars in Leeds. Drinks aren't too expensive but a pretty small building so can get cramped and fairly loud. Music always slap and the staff are always really nice.
