Phil Mcmullan★★★★Decor a tad outdated. Air conditioning not working. Rooms are a good size, water pressure in the shower very good. Reception staff very helpful and the breakfast is excellent, great selection of food. I believe Best Western should upgrade certain rooms. Excellent location, 10 minutes walk from the train station. Lots of good restaurants plus bars.
Sharon Chawner★★★★★We had an amazing stay, friendly helpful staff, and during the heatwave we had air-conditioning in our premium room which was a godsend. Staff even made us a pot of tea to have in the courtyard before breakfast. I don't know who was on reception on Friday evening, but the calm, unruffled, charmshe used to deal with a complaining customer in the evening was an exhibition in professional customer service. Thanks for a great time and we'll be visiting again.
Юлия YSH★★This hotel doesn’t provide the standard service. In the age of high technologies, guests are not allowed to use the air conditioners. The furniture looks super old and the repairs seems to be done since 20+ years ago. I really doubt it meet any BW standards or any standard proper accommodation for international travelers who know how the standard 3 star looks likes the only positive thing is polite and helpful staff and the location in the town. But I would not stay here again or recommend to anyone.
Andrea Holden★★★★We arrived and parked up using our blue badge so no payment needed! Checked in with a lovely lady on reception, she was very helpful indeed. We were on the 2nd floor so took the lift. Room was beautiful. Everything we needed. I didn't give 5 stars as I would have liked the windows to open more, I was sweltering in the night! Noise from outside didnt bother us as we were tired and went straight to sleep. Not tried the food yet as we went for an indian across the road and that was amazing! We would very much recommend this hotel...looking forward to our northern soul concert in the cathedral ton
