My husband came here a few weeks ago with work and loved it, so we decided to come together. It’s a lovely venue with a great atmosphere, and the service was really friendly and attentive. Honestly, everyone in the restaurant looked like they were enjoying themselves. I had the mussels, which were fantastic, fresh and full of flavour. My husband started with the bread, and the butter that came with it was so tasty I’ll definitely order it next time. You can’t go wrong at Browns. This one has amazing low ambient lighting and couples aren’t sat in a long line - big plus at any restaurant! Steak was very tasty, wine delicious and dessert the perfect ending. A great night as always, thank you for always being consistent with both food and venue, beautiful!

We first visited Browns back in 2022 and we loved it and soon found ourselves regularly popping into Browns in a few different cities. Great food, lovely setting, great service. The service and setting has mostly remained at a high level. However, the food has not. Our last few visits have been disappointing. On Christmas Eve, we’d booked at Liverpool, the toast with the starter was cold, and the parsnips with the poorly presented main were very much undercooked. First time coming here , was quite loud but nice atmosphere, a few things that niggled away at me I was sat by the coat stand upstairs where the perfumes and aftershaves off everyone’s coats masked the smell of the food. The staff were really nice, I had the ham hock and my son went for the sirloin steak. My only fault was my chips were cold, not even warm but cold and no one came along till it was to late to change them, they knocked 10% off but slapped a £7 service charge on, I always tip but I like to have that option and I like to decide how much, it’s happening everywhere now, please appr
