I absolutely love this place, very scenic, on a nice summer day it's even better. I would definitely recommend this place if you like to chill in some natural open air, like a marina, like seeing boats and just sitting and enjoying some fresh air and even visit the cafe and grab a hot chocolate. A marvellous place to come and visit, there's plenty to see and do, there's available parking along the canal, with just a short walk to the Marina and Canalside Heritage Centre and another short walk to the Attenborough Nature Reserve, an absolutely fantastic way to spend the day... Lots of wildlife to see... Plenty of resting places to relax and take a breather... Walking or running is ideal as it's flat terrain all the way around the Marina and Nature Reserve... A beautiful and possibly unknown hidden area for tranquil river walks and stunning views. Two cafés to choose from (the heritage centre on opposite side of the river adjacent to the large weir and the boathouse café adjacent to the marina, chandlery shop & laundrette). Walk from here to Attenborough Nature reserve or all the way to Trent Bridge if desired! (110mins)
