It was our wedding anniversary (46 years) and when making the reservation, there was a question about "what the occasion was for booking. When we arrived the table was decorated with love hearts, which was a really nice touch. Then when we ordered desert the plate was decorated "happy anniversary". The food and service was excellent and a thoroughly good experience.

When we first arrived at The Gurkha Kitchen, located in Maidstone West train station car park, our expectations were modest given its location and understated exterior. The quiet interior didn’t promise much at first, but as the evening unfolded, the experience proved to be far better than it seemed at first glance. Initially, the restaurant felt a little subdued, but as more diners arrived, the atmosphere transformed. Soft ambient music combined with the hum of conversations, creating a warm and relaxed vibe that felt worlds away from the quiet start. The food was well-presented and packed
