It was my First time ever Visiting The Crown 👑 and Anchor ⚓️ as I was in Town to pick my Wife up from Piccadilly Station so I popped in for Two quick pints of Alpaca Lypse(Indian Pale Ale) 🍺. Enjoyed a pint here whilst visiting Manchester for a conference. This pub has changed a lot since I was a student in Manchester 35 years ago. Nevertheless it was still a pleasant experience and great to see that the area around it has been developed into a thriving community. A great pint of beer in comfortable surroundings and friendly staff. Will try not to leave it 35 years before I return again!

Accomodation-wise, this place is absolutely not recommandable. If shower were working, you could not expect a single drop of warm water. Bathrooms were dirty. The bed and the mattress were good. The last night we've done there, the staff has forgotten to turn off the pub's music. So we had to endure a long-distance noise the whole night... TV was not working at all.
