Really enjoyed my visit to this very friendly cafe the coffee was extremely delicious my son had a blue berry crumble cake very generous portion nice comfortable seating inside and out we were there when the bustle of children leaving school and coming in for all sorts of chocolate treats the hot chocolate delicious temptation enjoyed my visit will definitely come again can heartily recommend situated in the heart of popular greystones

In an area with a lot of choice for coffee shops, Gilmours is hands down my favourite and my go-to place for a coffee with friends and family. The coffee is great, the cakes and pastries are delicious and my girls go mad for the sourdough toast! The staff are always really friendly and service is fantastic! I think the thing that sets it apart from others is that I can go to Gilmours with my two daughters and not feel like I’m putting anyone out by being there, we’re always made to feel welcome with the kids! It’s got such a warm, friendly, relaxed atmosphere, like being round at a mates house

This is my local coffee place since moving to the area. I’ve been a number of times now and thought it would become my regular. I’ve asked previously if it was okay to use my laptop as I know some places don’t like it. Each time they’ve said it’s no problem. But the last time I went, I asked the server who was delivering my coffee to the table if I could plug my charger into the plug beside me. This was more as a courtesy as they’ve also been fine with this before. He said no, and didn’t give a reason for it. I was a bit stuck, and it felt very unfriendly. I went in to grab a quick cup of tea as I was running late back from work. The girls who served me made me feel like a bit of an inconvenience to be honest, the man who made the tea seemed okay. I got 2 slices of cake (one for my husband) and we both thought it was nice but very much on the pricy side. I probably wouldn't go there again as I was really quite surprised with the poor service.
