Visited Alchemilla for the second time this evening to celebrate my boyfriend’s birthday and it was nothing short of exceptional. Every dish was beautifully crafted and seemed to surpass the last. We opted for the seven-course tasting menu and also added the scallop special, which was outstanding. The service was impeccable, attentive without feeling intrusive and each dish was thoughtfully explained by staff. We had the most wonderful lunch, finally taking advantage of a Christmas present. The venue is beautiful, a converted coach building with exposed brick, greenery and glass light wells combining to give a calm atmosphere. The staff were lovely, not only in telling us the expected information about the food but also chatting with us on a more personal level. And the food… OMG the food!! Totally awesome place. Delicious food. Attentive and knowledgeable staff that made serving the food almost a performance in itself. A great experience of fine dining that lasted almost 3 hours. Even before the day, we were contacted by the team to check dietary requirements. Only drawback is that parking locally isn’t particularly easy (as spaces are time limited).

The 7 course meal was absolutely Devine. I loved the mushrooms, and the desserts are incredible. My partner loved the pigeon. The restaurant staff were kind enough to accommodate a different menu for my partner who has seafood intolerance. A little surprise were the selections of cocktails.
