Ok. Famous for broths that take hours simmering, I had the veggie option with tofu instead of tender fall-apart slices of meat. Miso was the base for this one. All tasty and very satisfying. Cool, tiny, character place. Super everything else. Will come again and thanks for the effort for vegetarians, this was much appreciated!

Imagine sitting in a steamy tonkotsu joint tucked into a backstreet of Ebisu, the kind of place where the broth has been simmering since before dawn. A milky bowl of Hakata-style tonkotsu, the same cloudy, collagen-rich brew Tokio Miyamoto stumbled into back in 1937 when he let his Kurume kettle boil over too long, sits in a hand-decorated bowl in front of you. Tender chashu drapes over thin, firm noodles (kaedama already on standby), a velvety ajitama glistens on the side, and a small mound of beni shoga waits to cut through the richness. You are hungry, excited, and about to dive in. You pic

We came here for lunch on a Saturday afternoon. The restaurant is small, so there were some people queuing in front of the restaurant. We were standing in the queue for about 15 minutes. The restaurant was busy, crowded and cramped. The service was fast and attentive. We got duck teriyaki ramen and tonkatsu ramen. They were nice, we liked the broth. We also enjoyed the chicken karage.

Small spot. Very traditional feel and vibe. It feels like walking into a Japanese ramen place anywhere in Tokyo. The owner provided a quick recommendation and the ramen was absolutely amazing. Beautifully spicy which is what I wanted and ordered. The picture I hope speaks a 1000 words. Located in a great place. Very accessible. If I worked in the area, I’d be eating there constantly!
