Big shout out to the two lovely ladies working at Starbucks on Platform 1 at Peterborough Railway Station today On a very hot summer’s day, it was really nice to be greeted with friendly smiles, good customer service, and positive energy while everyone was rushing around in the heat 🥤😊 Sometimes it’s the small things that make a difference during a busy working day, and both ladies were a real credit to the team today. Hottest day of the year so far, and Joanna was manning the kiosk on her own during a colleague’s break. I can’t imagine how hot it must have been in that small space, surrounded by coffee machines plus electrical items, and there was a steady queue for the entire 20mins I was on the platform. However Joanna maintained a steady pace of service, kept her patience and customers moving.

Joanna served my daughters and I at Peterbrough train station. It was 5.30pm, unbearably hot on the platform and I can only imagine how stifling it was for Joanna to be making so many drinks in a hot unit,without any air conditioning or fans and on her own without any help, with a long queue waiting to be served. Despite all of this, she was working so hard and was so nice and polite. I worry about staff's wellbeing, having to work in such conditions. She.never complained - this is my observation.
