Great day out! Visited Trehafod for a family party and always wondered what it was like inside a place where many ancestors once worked. So booked and took my 7 year old nephew along for a look around. We was not disappointed. Former collier Pete took us the tour who was fantastic. Highly recommend anyone to do this if they can.

What a fantastic experience we had today!! Tour guide “tony” thank you, it was fun & factual. We be returning with other family members. With a simple question at the end truly blow my mind (I won’t ruin it for anyone else) but I still can’t believe it as I’m writing this!! But again thank you! It was clean, plenty of parking. Easy to get to. Cafe was lovely. Had a cheesecake and cheese on toast, stunning!

I came here today for the children's Easter event and it was absolutely worth it. The little one loved it We only paid £17 to get in an all the rides in there were free, free eater bunny headband, free eater egg, photos with the Easter funny and free petting area with a bunch of small animals. Really pleased with today most definitely be back.

Absolute gem of a place. The tour is great fun. Led today by Martin... personable as the Welsh are and deeply knowledge and passionate. The real life anecdotes and facts intertwined with humour made for a thoroughly enjoyable tour of a historic site. Me (30s), my mum (retired), 10 and 7 year old had a great time and found a fascination develop from our interactions today. Would highly recommend.
