Booked for a night away, room is very dated and needs upgrading. Bar was reasonably priced for drinks. Food was awful, starters we had pork belly which was soggy onions and 3 small pork belly bites. Garlic mushrooms was tin mushrooms on bread which was really soggy. Within 5 minutes of finishing starters our mains were put in front of us. Steak was okay but veg was very raw and jacket potato came with butter all over it (didn’t even ask if we wanted butter). Had my wedding here last August . Tasha the wedding planner was great couldn’t fault her she worked hard . I felt sorry for the night porter who quit the day of my wedding as he was left to wash the table clothes, dry them as well as iron them at 6am because who ever was supposed to do them in the night didn’t do it ,as well as him having to sort out breakfast for the guests. Buffett looked amazing there was loads of food left when I looked but when I went to have some food which we paid a lot of money for it had been chucked in the bin so we didn’t get to try any .Surely we should of been ask

Had lunch today which was stunning. We both had the cajun chicken hanging skewers which were incredible. Massive pieces of moist, perfectly cooked chicken, followed by sticky toffee pudding with caramel ice cream. Best meal we have had in a long time. Waitress was lovely and a nice chilled, relaxing venue.

I normally do my research into reviews before i book somewhere but i didnt this time and i regret it. Awful nights stay last night Room was dirty , stains on the curtains and mould on the windows , bathroom horrificly outdated, bed was so uncomfortable and noisy , no air con , window onto the main road which was loud The hallyway just smelled of damp Had to return drinks as they were flat and undrinkable , wedding party there that was playing music until 1am and no heads up it was happening which i think is bad on the hotel as we wouldnt have booked , topped off by people smoking drugs in the
