Magnificent place with superb customer service. Place - really welcoming and lovely - food - superb - staff - excellent and they really care. We are staying in one of the stunning garden rooms that are super dog friendly and they really are..... this place is homely but luxurious and has such a good fell to it. The GM and staff cannot do enough for you, and their kindness and lovely warm demeanour is just wonderful. I truly cannot praise this gorgeous hotel enough. What can I say? My new husband and I got married here yesterday and from start to finish everything was perfection. We began our planning journey with Sally and continued with Jacquelyn. Everything down to the last detail was meticulously arranged. On the day, the staff consistently checked in, had food ready on time, were so attentive and supportive. Nothing was too much trouble. They even added extra suprise details like bringing us mimosas the morning of along with all the breakfast food we could have dreamt of. Property is nice, old world feel, nice gardens, staff were all good service. Restaurant food good. Bathroom in room was bright and modern. Excellent WiFi. Down sides were that the single room , 126 was extremely cramped, as was the Bathroom ( very hard to get in and out of shower cubicle) mattress very soft, no black out to window and poor lighting in bedroom. Also felt the table for evening meal was dirty with food debris around my feet and the wall and fittings directly next to table were dirty. Would stay again but definitely not a single room, sadly only option.

Quite a nice hotel overall. I’d recommend booking through third-party websites rather than directly with the hotel, as it can be significantly cheaper. The bed was extremely comfortable and the shower was pleasantly hot. However, the room I stayed in had quite a few noticeable marks- on the curtains, the floor, and even the cushion. For the price being charged, the level of cleanliness and upkeep wasn’t really up to standard.
