I was tired and miserable and wanted a quick bite before going home on a Sunday night just before closing time. I didn't realise I'd be having the best fish&chips of my life. The foreign lady at the till is the sweetest person ever, her voice is so warm and her smile is infectious. The fish is massive, full of crunch and not soggy at all and it didn't fall apart. The chips are crispy. I paid 11.20 and had leftovers for next day. Genuinely tasty, I couldn't believe a random chippy in Redruth would be this good especially after trying some other ones. The Crispy Cod is fast becoming a weekly regular for us, absolutely fantastic food, fast delivery and great prices. I almost loath to write this review! Predominantly due to how well priced and fantastic their mega kebab is. The portion size is fantastic, it could feed two adults with ease (not this piglet though), I have ordered one probably each week now for a month and the quality and portion size has remained consistent. Firstly I consider 15 minutes for x2 standard size chips and one large battered cod too long to wait but this could be forgiven if the food was decent quality. Sadly it was not. My neighbour was having fish and chips while I was having just some chips. The chips were colourless and no amount of seasoning or sauce could make them taste any better.
