The rooms are very dated and run down, not comftable and decoration poor, with wallpaper hanging off walls, amentiaties not good, bathroom very dated and mould, and dirty tiles around bath/shower. The bedroom was very run down and smelt. Food and drink just ok, parking is avaliable and central location. Not really family/child friendly either. So would not recommend or rebook.

Stayed at the Royal Hotel on Friday 24th April My daughter had been admitted to the hospital late on Friday evening so needed somewhere to stay The staff at the Royal were extremely helpful and still checked me in at 10.40pm ! Had a good nights sleep and the lady in the morning at breakfast was lovely and very friendly and made me a really good breakfast Think Greene King need to invest some money in the hotel now to compliment the great staff 5 stars and Big thank you to the staff your help and friendliness is really appreciated Mark Peacock
