Visited Billy's a short time before they closed and as expected they had run out of a few items. However, they were able to serve us a full platter for 2 and it was spectacular. I was fearing that the smoke may be abit strong but it wasnt at all. They smoke their meats using oak but the smokiness is subtle and very well done. From start to finish, the service was excellent. The owner was welcoming, and it was great chatting with him throughout our visit. There were seven of us travelling down from Uxbridge, and given how popular this place is on social media right now, we expected a long wait. Surprisingly, we were seated fairly quickly despite the restaurant being busy. Our order was taken promptly, and we were recommended the platters (£75 each).
