Possibly the best in public dining experience I have had in London this year. There is a reason nobody else is cooking Cambodian food in London as what is the point? They will not be as good as the kitchen at Mamapen. The depth of flavour in every dish was outrageous, tender meat, crispy vegetables perfectly fluffy rice, everything was on point. It was incredibly busy as you would expect somewhere of this standard however service was quick and staff were very friendly, a complete contrast to other places I have eaten with similar hype! This is Mamapen at The Sun and 13 cantons. I went for lunch and, although I am not familiar with this type of cuisine, I was very impressed with the quality of the cooking and the prompt and efficient service of the waiting staff. I had the pork panko toast and the Tatty Mince Noodles, followed by the ice cream sando ( the naughty one ) , all washed down with Asahi beer. A really great, simple meal, perfectly cooked and honestly priced. This place was full of raucous Soho employees that were in large, noisy groups, but do not let this minor detail deter you from trying this Mamapen pop up !

Me and a friend were eating in the restaurant. We were approached by a very intoxicated man who proceeded to make myself and my friend very uncomfortable. After being asked to leave myself and my friend alone multiple times, we asked to speak with a manager to remove him. Once I got the manager she told me that he was her boss!!! And he was having some drinks after work! He was the landlord of the pub!!! Once he discovered we complained about him he got very upset and aggressive with us and made us leave the pub!! Desgusting place.

Did you know there is a basement bar available to hire for private party!? Well! It was a sunday Karaoke evening with my work colleagues and was so great! Had Own dance floor, private bar and a screen where we gathered for Karaoke!!! Even a private exit to be able to burn a cigarette or two. Was a fantastic evening!
