One of the best bakeries in London. It is a proper city institution for a reason: the choice is huge, the quality is high, the atmosphere is very comforting. They offer a wide array of freshly baked sweet and savoury pastries. I took two of the famous crodoughs for takeaway: pistachio salted caramel cronut and marshmallow Nutella cronut. The phrase “hidden gem” is probably over-used but describes Rinkoffs perfectly 😃 Located down an alley off Mile End Road, it is definitely worth the effort to find. They are rightly renowned for their crodoughs, which are awesome, sweet, indulgent and substantial, you know you’ve had a treat 😘 The cinnamon bun is fabulous as well, soft, sweet and perfectly tangy, with a coffee, heaven. My favourite may well be the iced pain au raisins though 😍 Beautiful, flaky pastry, fruity and chewy raisins, sweet, sticky icing, delicious. I traveled across London to visit this spot after hearing about its incredible 115-year family history, but I left with a bit of a mixed experience. As a newcomer, the shop felt a little chaotic to walk into. Rinkoffs' crodoughs are absolutely amazing, delicious, soft, flaky and some great flavours. We loved them so much we decided to have them instead of a wedding cake at our wedding! And the team were very lovely and helpful in making that happen for us. Can't recommend them enough!
