A superb dining experience aboard a beautifully fitted out canal boat AND you get to have dinner gazing out at the lovely countryside, very romantic. The crew and service displayed the perfect match of being both professional and relaxed which added to the atmosphere. The menu offered three choices of each course with additional sides if required and the wine list was quite extensive and well chosen. Excellent value for money and a highly recommended dining experience if your looking for something a little different.

The Countess Restaurant Cruiser moored opposite the RSC in Bancroft Basin. Stratford on Avon. I’ve been on this cruiser about eight times over the years and I have been impressed every time I go on it. I normally go for the 7:30 pm sailing for dinner with friends normally on a birthday celebration. I can honestly say hand on heart it is a great experience to have a three course meal relaxing as you’re cruising up the Avon a total of three hours on the boat the staff are extremely helpful. The food I have never ever been disappointed with it taste absolutely beautiful. They have a short menu

We were given the boat trip as a gift and were really looking forward to it The staff are warm and friendly And the boat trip all be it long really is beautiful how ever the food well I wouldn’t even bother ! Nothing like on the pics on line I think they must have had new galley staff as to plate up a bowl of over cooked pasta and tip on a jar of cheap pesto and call that a vegetarian meal is a disgrace! When the lady came and asked how it was I said nope not good I couldn’t eat it I was asked for what the chef can do to make it better my response was tame and I said don’t let it swim in pesto
