The best Thai food in Surbiton + Kingston + Wimbledon combined! Walked in bang on at 12pm so it was quiet the entire hour I ate there. We ordered 4 dishes: Signature Khai Soi: tastes much like a good laksa and I loved the strong punchy curry taste and the amazing succulent grilled chicken pieces. I don’t know if the chef was having a bad night but I really wasn’t impressed. Had a takeaway. The waiter was a good guy and the restaurant looked nice. The rice was a fairly good size but below average in taste. The beef massaman was terrible. The meat was dry and chewy and the sauce had no depth or flavour. Small restaurant with compact layout. We were sat by the door and every time someone came in or out (or the wind sucked it open), the door would bump the chair (easily remedied by scooting in) and gusts of wind blew in. Adventurous. Because it was a full house and not many things on the walls to soften the sound, the atmosphere was really loud and hard to hear the server or my table mate. The FOOD WAS GREAT!
