My family and I just recently lost my Grandad and had a celebration of life there for him as he had strong links the Cambrian as he worked there as miner until the explosion. Went to a baby shower today here at the lakeside. I was a bit worried as I have coeliac disease therefore gluten free. I’m also vegetarian. Kevin, one of the organisers arranged a plate for both me and another lady who is also gluten free. I needn’t have felt nervous as the food was amazing. We stopped off here after a 6-mile walk on the Clydach trail. It's a real gem of a place on the lakeside. There's a bar and cafe serving a varied menu and beverages. The outside area overlooks the lake with plenty of seating, although it would benefit from a covered area in inclement weather if you have your canine companion. The staff are very friendly and the service is good. The view of the lake and its wildlife are delightful. We will definitely be visiting again.
