We are Australians 🇦🇺 and we were very fortunate to have two wonderful experiences at The Red Lion with our fabulous friends, during our 7 week stay. One of the occasions was Father’s Day, where a terrific set menu was also offered. The food was exceptional and the staff were attentive and delightful. We haven't been here for 20 years but we were visiting a family member. It's changed a lot and very cosy decor. Looked so pretty outside very Christmassy. Food was really nice and the girl who served us was very lovely. Cocktails were great. We had a nice time and would definitely revisit if we are in the area

Visited for a Sunday roast and the roast was quite disappointing. The meat was cooked well but the carrots, parsnips and yorkshire pudding lacked any sort of flavour. The gravy was okay but again, lacking good flavour. The food was also very pricey considering the average quality. Staff were friendly though and there's a good amount of available parking.

Busy pub offering both indoor and outdoor seating. I ate in the pub itself, but noted there was a restaurant area. Menu not massive, but offered something for everyone I'd say. Decided against fish and chips and went with the pork and prosciutto with scallops (scallops are an optional extra with this dish). Well presented plate and very tasty. Thoroughly enjoyed it.
