It’s been troubled times over the last decades or so , with so many pubs and pub chains closing down every week . Many of the old pub chains that I grew up with have now completely disappeared and so many Pubs have now sadly disappeared for ever. I love this place and am delighted it is still going strong. What a lovely building it is. I recall it being a bit of a dive at times in the 1980’s when there were several incidents that involved people punching each other and the police being called . Had a good experience overall. The staff were friendly and provided great service, making us feel welcome. The food was tasty, but the portion size for the side order of fries was quite small for the price. Drinks were also on the expensive side, which was a bit of a downside. The atmosphere was nice, but better value for money would make it a more enjoyable visit.”

What a great “Pub” this pub resembles a restaurant, very airy, clean and free of strange odors. We had the Fish & Chips, which was a very generous portion and quite delicious. The Guinness is nice & cold, as well as cold water in the hydration station. The pub also allows you to refill your water bottle too. All in all, a very nice experience
