We went to Beit Beirut on a Saturday night for dinner, which was our first visit. To our surprise the restaurant was completely empty and the atmosphere was non existent. We may have just been unlucky, but considering it was a Saturday night it just felt a bit dead. The decor seemed very dated, maybe that's why. We had a lovely girl serving us who was super friendly from the moment we arrived. She was very knowledgeable about all the dishes. There is a reason why Beit Beirut has such high ratings. The restaurant itself is clean and warm, the wine wall adds a lovely traditional feel to room, and the atmosphere is soothing. The staff are lovely and attentive, explaining each dish and its origins as it is served. The food itself was full of flavour and varied, so many different foods to try. I tried several dishes like the grilled aubergine starter (included in the cold meze) that I've not tried before and not only enjoyed what I ate but highly recommend.
