We visited this evening at 7pm after booking earlier in the day, as we were specifically interested in the Châteaubriand deal advertised at £40 for two people. The booking process itself was smooth and accommodating, which gave us a good first impression. On arrival, however, the tables felt super close together, making the space quite cramped. Almost immediately after sitting down, we were asked for drinks before even being given time to properly look at the menu. Ounce in Bishampton is one of the best roast dinners I've ever had, Worcester however is the exact opposite. We ordered the £65 'roast of dreams to share' as there were two adults and one 6 year old who doesn't eat much so comparing the price of this to a standard £20 roast we figured this should be plenty (we have had the standard and the upgraded roasts before, this portion wouldnt have amounted to two of those so the extra cost for a bit of dry, overcooked lamb is baffling). I come here most Sundays and have a butcher board roast dinner, everytime it is amazing. The staff are extremely friendly and the service is fantastic. Highly recommend. This is my comfort treat most weeks. The creme brulee is amazing too 😊whoevers playlist is on aswel has some great tunes.
