First timer lunch tues steak 23 buck everything was ok server was excellent food ummm steak was to salty ease up on the seasoning please. Definitely going back lol to try the steak again with less seasoning. Oh and the first time I didnt have to ask for extra cheese on a salad.

Stopped in to enjoy my St. Patrick's Day with some Corned Beef. Mac's was serving up a plate full of tender Corned Beef, Cabbage, Potatoes and Baby Carrots. The Corned Beef was fork tender. Their cabbage was a mixture, half of my serving was mushy and the other still had a little snap to the texture. Both the potatoes and carrots were spot on, I enjoyed them more than I did the cabbage. The food never disappoints me. I follow Mac's on FB so I can see what the daily specials are. There's been many times when I see something good and it helps me plan my meals for the day. This was the first time I had eaten here in downtown Alton. This first time was good, but not great. Both the burgers and Streaks were top quality. However, there was a long wait time and they forgot our Daiquiri. It was finally brought to us after we had asked about it 3 times and we were done eating. Given these issues, our server was really friendly and respectful.

This place was big. Multiple rooms. Beautiful bar. Outside area, inside area. The food was delicious and the service and staff were GREAT! Definitely going for Sunday Brunch and All you can eat Crab Legs Night. Will be going back often. Highly recommend.
