Olde world charm in a downtown Anchorage hotel. Staff was overall great. Joe at the Concierge desk was very efficient and friendly considering handling a deluge of customers arriving off atour bus. Our room was suite which was an unexpected surprise. Lovely bathroom with spa-like amenities. Nice city view from our corner suite.

Surprising my really high quality. Slightly dated but clean and has unique character. Close and walkable to everything downtown - food, brewery, walking trails. Cool Views from the room and had a corner room with lots of windows and space.

Visiting from Florida for a conference. The hotel was wonderful and centrally located for what we needed to do. They had all kinds of accommodations should you need a ride and not have a vehicle. The concierge will hook you up! And if you have a problem with your room Brian the manager... Can't say enough about that guy! They have an awesome breakfast, and the Whale Tail - can I say they know the protocol for food safety! They have separate food fryers so you know for NO cross contamination. I have a seafood allergy and it was just nice to have a fryer that is separate so I can have french fri

Nice vintage hotel with cool history but is kept up very well. Rooms updated, bathrooms modern and very functional. No idea the cost as this was our last night of a holland American land tour but this place is fantastic. Would totally stay here again
